"Salon and Spa Offers Haircuts to Kids"

Paule Attar and Heinz Mikulka, Co-Owners of the Paule Attar Salon and Spa, are working with the Overlake Service League on a very special holiday project. Paule and Heinz want to be able to help children who are living in less than ideal situations such as poverty, neglect or abuse. One way to demonstrate care is to help these young people find their self-esteem by taking pride in their physical appearance. Paule and Heinz feel that giving kids a great haircut and a teddy bear is like giving them a great big hug.

On the afternoons (after school) on Monday, December 10th and Tuesday, December 11th the Paule Attar Salon and Spa will provide free haircuts and bears to kids. The Overlake Service League has received gift vouchers from Paule Attar and will help with this project by identifying the children who stand to gain the most from the Hugs, Bears and Haircuts special holiday project. The Overlake Service League will distribute the vouchers to children of need on a case-by-case basis.
