Salon Switches Holiday Attention to Families

For years, the staff members at Paule Attar Salon and Spa have celebrated the holiday season by holding a traditional holiday party -- until 2006.

For the holiday season last month, the business sponsored three families faced with health and financial challenges.

Instead of gifts for one another, the Paule Attar employees selected and gave gifts to the families, which were recommended by Overlake Service League.

The project was inspired by a long-term employee who had once struggled with poverty and was helped by a kind and caring company, a Paule Attar spokeswoman explained.
